This exclusive work is a part of "Entangled Emotions" series by Sanglim Han. Looking closely at our bodies, I discover an ecology full of trans-species entanglements. I am fascinated by the fact that 90% of the human body is composed of non-human microbial cells. The minuscule fragments that make up the body were once part of me, which left me and went adrift somewhere. Then, where does the body begin and end? What is this surface that we share with others? With whom can you share the surface of the body? The shared bodies blur the boundaries of the private realm. The body may bring us together or separate us. I explore this idea by creating digital ecosystems (bodies) with autonomous computational systems. Body, relationship, and intimacy intersect in the physiology of the virtual ecosystem. The elements of this synthetic universe are constructed in an analytical way—an array of geometrical components like face, edge, vertex. Within these numerical and logical data and algorithm-based information, I investigate our intuitions and feelings. I delve into our entangled emotions. Shared and entangled bodies generate abstract imageries and new dialogues. The re-written emotional masses are transparent and entangled, becoming the story that is impossible to find the beginning and the end.
