Ana Hofmann questions the image as an image and thus the medium with which she works, among other things, photography. How do the pictures get to the viewers or how are they reproduced? This work deals with the mass distribution of images as well as their mediality. It is a kind of study of different reproduction methods. The notion of duplication is transferred here in particular to the process. The image is decomposed, strung together, digitized, recombined, archived, copied or adapted - similar to the processes on the Internet, where a picture circulates freely. The result is reminiscent of the look through a kaleidoscope.
