This exclusive work is part of series "xxxs" by Sanglim Han. Looking closely at our bodies, Han is fascinated by the fact that the human body contains ten times as many non-human microbial cells as human ones. Exploring through a microscopic lens, one can discover an ecosystem full of trans-species entanglements. Han focuses on the body as a fluctuating domain for fragmented entities rather than a singular, wholesome entity.
Sanglim Han (b. 1987) explores disembodied, fragmented, and interstitial bodies. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
