COOKIE POLICY

What are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. ”First party cookies” are cookies set by the website you’re visiting. Only that website can read them. In addition, a website might potentially use external services, which also set their own cookies, known as third-party cookies. ”Persistent cookies” are cookies saved on your computer and that are not deleted automatically when you quit your browser, unlike a session cookie, which is deleted when you quit your browser. Every time you visit elementum’s websites, you will be prompted to accept or refuse cookies. The purpose is to enable the site to remember your preferences (such as user name, language, etc.) for a certain period of time. That way, you don’t have to re-enter them when browsing around the site during the same visit. Cookies can also be used to establish anonymised statistics about the browsing experience on our sites.

How do we use Cookies?

elementum websites mostly use “first-party cookies”. These are cookies set and controlled by elementum, not by any external organisation. However, to view some of our pages, you will have to accept cookies from external organisations.
"The 3 types of first-party cookie we use are to": *store visitor preferences *make our websites operational *gather analytics data (about user behaviour)

"Visitor preferences” These are set by us and only we can read them. They remember: *if you have agreed to (or refused) this site’s cookie policy *if you have already replied to our survey pop-up (about how helpful the site content was) – so you won't be asked again

List of cookies we use on our website

| COOKIE NAME | EXPIRATION TIME | DESCRIPTION | |-------------- |----------------- |----------------------------------------------- | | feathers-jwt | permanently | Used to identify your session | | redir | permanently | Used to redirect you after the authentication

Control over Cookies

User consent is required for obtaining and using certain cookies. You can always change your decisions on the acceptance or rejection of using cookies. These settings are usually located in the menu bar of your Internet browser Tools Internet Options, the "privacy" or "security". There, users can change the settings which types of cookies they would like to block.

In your browser you can also delete cookies. Cancellation is usually available in the toolbox, under the "Clear Browsing Data" (usually a window can also display the CTRL + Shift + Del) and selecting “delete cookies”.

Some browsers can generally reject the use of cookies by ticking the "do not follow me" or "do-not-track".

LogRocket

We use LogRocket, which is a new type of developer tool. It’s like a DVR for web apps, recording literally everything that happens on our site. Instead of guessing why problems happen, it can replay sessions with bugs or user issues to quickly understand the root cause.

LogRocket instruments the DOM to record the HTML and CSS on the page, recreating pixel-perfect videos of even the most complex single page apps.

In addition, LogRocket records console logs, JavaScript errors, stacktraces, network requests/responses with headers + bodies, browser metadata, and custom logs. It also has deep integrations with libraries like React, Redux, and Angular to log actions and application state.

General Principles

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. Information about you will not be disclosed to any third party. We will not share your personal information with a third party that we acquired unless allowed by you or otherwise provided by law. We may share the information we collect with third parties who need to access it in order to do work on our behalf, e.g. helping us to make the App available, or providing analytics services for us. We work hard to ensure that these third parties only access and use your information as necessary to perform their functions.

At the beginning of a session on the platform, each user is assigned with a cookie and/or refresh and access tokens for identification to ensure best security. We also collect IP addresses from users accessing the platform or website.

On your computer we might store the cookies of Google Analytics (analysis of website visits). All the above mentioned information, except cookies, is stored permanently. Session cookies are stored only for the duration of the visit and are deleted upon user inactivity. Persistent cookies are stored on the visitor's computer. Same applies to access tokens and refresh tokens on the plattform as long as the user is logged in.

Some of these third-party providers may place cookies or pixels - small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory - on your browser or hard drive. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies and pixels by default, but you can usually set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies or pixels.
